Migrating from VMware to Azure Local

Azure Local Overview

Azure Local is a cloud-connected infrastructure for distributed locations enabled by Azure Arc. With Azure Local, you can deploy, manage, and maintain distributed infrastructure from Azure using a unified centralized management through Azure Portal or API.

Azure local is also a form of HCI since it consists of integrated software-defined components such as Hyper-V, Storage Space Direct, and Azure-inspired software-defined networking capabilities using standard x86 servers. These servers, however, must be certified and validated under Azure Local solution catalog: https://azurelocalsolutions.azure.microsoft.com/#/catalog
